You will first encounter Swamp Toads at the Keelbreach Bog.
They have a lot of hitpoints, and, they use their tongues to take your weapons from your hands and eat them. In order to get your weapons back, you must kill the toad to get them back. So make sure you kill them quickly before they run off with your weapons.

They drop Toad Tongues, which sounds disgusting but is one of the most nutritious foods you've found so far.

They can also jump and leap behind you, watch out!
