Fire elementals sometimes roam through the isle of Nex, you will see them only briefly and there is no way to engage them, they explode on impact with you and do massive damage. You can usually endure one of them, but not everal at the same time.

If you want to protect yourself against them, cast a forcefield against a wall so you encase yourself in it. This will not make them explode at the forcefield, but it will give you time to heal up.
